Numerous professional education opportunities are available through Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care, and continuing education credit is frequently offered. Programs are available for physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains and other health care professionals, including hospital and nursing facility staff members. In addition, seminars are offered to estate planning professionals.
Regular events include quarterly Palliative Care Grand Rounds, offered in affiliation with The University of Kansas Medical Center, and a weekly lecture series, held at Kansas City Hospice House.
The weekly lecture series covers important topics in the care of patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families. The series consists of two single-hour sessions every Thursday morning at Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Mo. The series is designed for our palliative medicine fellowship but is open to all health care professionals in the community. CEUs are available for all meetings.
Below are upcoming Palliative Care Grand Rounds, weekly lectures, seminars for estate planners and other events for professionals. Click on the listings to view more detail and to register if applicable.
