June 25-27, 2010
Heartland Presbyterian Center
16965 NW 45 Highway, Parkville, Mo.

Camp Erin is a free, weekend, overnight camp for children and teens, ages 6 to 17, who have experienced the death of someone close to them. It is a traditional, fun, high-energy camp combined with grief education and emotional support.

Children grieve in many ways. They require physical activity as well as emotional outlets. Camp Erin provides a safe place where children can create bonds and friendships with their peers who have been through a similar experience.

Camp Erin is staffed by professional grief specialists from Kansas City Hospice and Solace House.

Through funding and support from The Moyer Foundation and generous donations from the community and volunteers, Camp Erin is free to all campers.

Camp Erin is designed to serve children and teen participants only while Camp Carousel is a weekend retreat for children, teens and their families.

Activities include:
  • Music
  • Art projects
