Support Groups

Grief support groups are offered in various locations throughout the metropolitan area throughout the year. These groups are free of charge and open to adults in the community who have experienced the death of a loved one.

Topics covered include understanding the grief process, dealing with difficult emotions, role changes, handling the holidays, and finding and using support systems. Groups also provide education on the grief process and offer an opportunity to connect with others who have experienced similar losses. Groups are most helpful to people who are two months or more past their loss.

Below are upcoming grief support groups. Click on them for more information or to register. Call Grief Support Services at 816-363-2600 if you would like more information or to register by phone.
