Volunteers can make a difference by helping with the daily operations of Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care. Opportunities include helping with administrative tasks, such as filing, preparing mailings and other office work. If you have computer database skills, such as familiarity with Microsoft Excel or Raiser’s Edge, special jobs are available.
Although most office volunteers work at the Main Office, 9221 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, Mo., or at Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Mo., some opportunities are available at our offices in Independence and Overland Park.
Office volunteers usually are assigned to a job in a specific department, and can enjoy pride in ownership of the job and a sense of accomplishment. Orientation to Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care and training for your specific volunteer job is provided.
